About Us

What do you do when you have a granddaughter who lives across the country in the time of Covid? You do what you swore you would NEVER do when you were younger – buy a trailer.

As we pined about the loss of opportunity to watch our granddaughter, Tala, develop through her many stages of infancy, we frantically came up with solutions. Fly business class with masks and hand sanitizer? Drive across country and stay in hotels bringing our own food? Wait until there is a vaccine? Well all of those seemed either too risky or too long a wait. So, we had a discussion one night during shelter-in-place and decided that we could stay safe AND see Tala. So, here we go. Into our Airstream Nest and off to the Connecticut.

Never having driven across the country, particularly at a time when our country seems so foreign to us sometimes, we thought “how about a blog”. So, here it is. Thomas will do the photos and Terese will do the writing. We will share our adventure as if you are with us.
